About Me

January 13th, 2010

DSC00392Hello. My name is Darren, I live in United Kingdom with my partner Karen and my son Sean

After completing my Textiles and Fashion degree I worked for a textile and soft furnishing company for many years. Now I am proud to be a full-time father to our son Sean.

I’m a happy, optimistic person and I love to travel and through that I believe that life can be a continuous learning experience. I’m looking forward to travelling more some day. I enjoy painting, drawing, gardening, reading, walking, and sports like athletics, football, and rugby. I’m just getting into photography as a hobby and I’m enjoying learning all the bits and bobs of my digital camera. I’m also a Scrappin’ Tragic! I love reading about, writing about and actually doing Scrapbooking.

I love to scrapbook because it helps me celebrate where I’ve been, as well as where I’m headed. It brings you right back to what’s important-capturing your memories and having fun doing it!”

Scrapbooking will hopefully slow down the growth process (or at least capture it so we can remember it!) and help us preserve our memories of a lifetime.

Scrapbooking is one of America’s most popular pastimes. In a high-tech, fast-paced, globally connected world, scrapbooking is a chance to step back, reflect, and feel gratitude for one of life’s simplest pleasures: happy memories.”

“With so many scrapbooking products and ideas available today, just getting started can be overwhelming.

My aim is to make Scrapbook Memorises a great resource for Scrappers everywhere; providing

  • Scrapbooking Tips and Techniques,
  • Scrapbook related articles
  • Links to great Freebies and other useful Scrapbooking places,
  • In an easy to read magazine style format.

Scrapbook Memories will tell you exactly what you need to begin – album, cutting tools, paper, adhesive – and then guides you through creating various fun types of scrapbooks. I hope it will be very useful and warmly engaging.

As well as helping those who blog to develop and improve their blogs without needing to delve into the heavy duty techie stuff. I like to think that Scrapbook Memorises is a feast of Scrapbooking information and tutorials for both the Digital Scrapbooker and the Traditional Paper Scrapbooker. All served up with a light hearted and fun style.

I am constantly interested in improving this site so any feedback or suggestions from readers is warmly welcomed and encouraged.I hope this becomes a place where we can exchange ideas for free about scrapbook layouts, and ideas. Please feel free to comment, as long as it relates to scrapbooking ideas, layout ideas, your favorite scrapbook store, where you have found great deals on scrapbook supplies, albums, digital scrapbooking, stickers, kits, scrapbooking quotes, paper storage, software and creating great scrapbooks. If you have a favorite scrapbooking website, let me know so I can check it out.
